Resolving to provide the kinds of services he’s had so much trouble finding from others, he started Buchanan Property Management. Word quickly spread of his impressive knowledge of building construction and repair…and he’s been a busy guy ever since.


A licensed California real estate broker since 2015, Buck is dedicated to giving back to the community around him. He’s active with a variety of charitable causes; sits on the Board of SoCalRHA (Southern California Rental Housing Assn.); and volunteers on committees as a member of IREMSD (Institute of Real Estate Management/San Diego).


Furthermore, in addition to managing every aspect of his own buildings, this native San Diegan brings to every conversation significant background as a remodeler, environmental engineer, and civil engineer. That’s why we were so pleased to have Janet Ward join our family of professionals. Always eager to take on a new challenge, Janet’s had a lifelong love affair with learning, self-education, and sharing her knowledge with all around her.


While others might have considered youth a hindrance, Janet leveraged her boundless energy and a degree to Business Administration into solid experience supervising operations at one of the region’s top theme parks. From there her talent and attention to detail brought her into daily contact with property and financial management, cash operations, employee oversight, government regulations, and tax oversight.


And let’s not forget almost nine years she’s already spent in the trenches overseeing every aspect of property management finances!

While she started her professional life in the medical field, we spotted Brooke while she was honing her skills in the financial and entertainment industries. With her talent instantly obvious, we created an opportunity to lure her to improve your every business transaction.

Meet Alisyn, a San Diego native who brings a level of knowledge, wisdom, and street smarts that FAR exceed her age to her position at Buchanan’s newest Property Manager.


Though she’s only been in our industry a few short years, Alisyn has already gained substantial experience in virtually every aspect of the property management industry.


From general property management and showings to leasing and maintenance requests, it sometimes seems she’s done it all. This young woman’s background includes financial/insurance compliance, resident compliance and liaison relations, rent collections and financial processing, systems development, moving day…


In short, you name it, and she’s probably done it already!


Alisyn’s won the SCRHA Mark of Excellence Award (300+ units), despite her youth and largely due to her willingness to throw every bit of her energy into every assignment. She begins each day by finding ways to improve the customer experience.

 When was the last time you encountered someone who pores through construction plans as bedtime reading? Meet Andrés Ledesma, innovations expert in roofing, plumbing, electrical, stucco, landscaping…


Let’s put it another way; basically, if it’s anything that’s construction-related, you want to have Andrés on the job to ensure it’s done correctly.


After studying at San Diego State University and running Handyman Reconstruction for several years, Buchanan Property Management was fortunate enough to lure their CEO to join us. You’re going to be VERY glad we did!


Andrés is one of those guys who likes taking things apart to see how they work. Then he successfully puts them back together…and without leaving any stray parts to worry about afterwards.


We’ve already discovered him to be a contradiction; a Renaissance man in a niche. You’ll find him to be focused, intellectual, skilled, respectful, ethical, responsible, organized, efficient, effective, innovative, and…well, you get the idea.

In his free time, Andrés does woodworking, painting and teaches his kids to repair his truck.

An avid baseball fan and golfer, Efrain enjoys Ultimate Fighting Championship, barbecuing, and camping with his family.
